Hi all,

I cannot seem to get shadows in alpha channel, I have a HDR background environment and a ground plane with diffuse material matte ticked, alphachannel & alphashadow ticked. am i missing a step? if someone can help really appreciate it as i have been searching the forum last night to no avail on a solution

Anyone? please.. im trying to do a composite in aftereffects but with out matte shadows rendering in alpha its pointless

did you play with diffuse color ?

and sometime you need to reload your hdri when you make a bad tweak on "matte" to make it visible again

Thanks LudovicRouy for replying, Just tried your tip now, still not working.. don't know why it shows in the render but not in alpha channel,
I have tried different combinations but still nothing

I think it's a plugin problem, in standalone alpha shadows a created but in my C4D plugin i've got same problem as you.

must be, But I have seen karba get it to work.. Hopefully he will swing by this post and correct me if I'm doing it wrong.. Thanks LudovicRouy for your input

Hi man, in 3Ds max it is Easy, you only need to check matte for diffuse material.
But do not forget increase transmission min. : 0,01 (0.0 not work)
