Hi All, Tig, Love your exporter works a dream!
Am having one issue perhaps you can clear up for me...
When I flip an object (not just rotate) the emission stuff doesn't work right... see image
The one on the left is as drawn, the one one the right was flipped on the green axis
Black body applied to the Component and the is the result, any thoughts?
Steve
emissions and Flipped Objects
There were some issues about flipped/handed/mirrored/rotated versions of the same objects that I tried to trap - it's to do with the way SketchUp handles UV mapping and face-normals etc...
I thought I had it cornered.
Now looks like you have a combo that fails.
How do you 'flip' ?
I assume this flipping is inside SketchUp
Using the context-menu 'Flip' commands, or my Mirror tool, or Scale -1 in that axis ?
Do you get different results doing it different ways?
If you 'flip' it explode and regroup what happens.
If it's a component, then if you copy an instance of it [no flip yet], then use 'make unique' from the context-menu to make a duplicate the definition, then edit the component, select all and 'flip' its contents is that any different?

It works, but you have to rotate the 2nd light copy, not flip it ( I.E. mirror it).
Not sure why this is as the normals seem to point outwards ...it just seems to be an anomaly !
