The material changes in Octane stay after saving and changing C4D-scene :)

would it be possible to have Octane automatically change 'render instances' to normal meshes - and thereby export them? It's quite a job to uncheck all those settings when you have an extensive hierarchy in C4D when you have loads of them in the scene and realize that Octane won't show them when the rendering starts...

you can do it easily in c4d ;)
simply click on the eye at the top right of the object manager and you can select all the instances (or other kind of objects) in your scene in one time.

Regarding Mac OS: Currently there is no Octane SDK available for Mac OS, so there won't be a Mac version of the plugin. At least not initially.

Cheers,
Marcus

We have been wrangling with the SDK for Mac the last 5 days (Linux took only 1/2 a day ...). It's still not working yet. There is still hope though. We will see today how it goes.

Hello there,

when no export path and project name is beeing entered in the export dialogue there won´t be a project written at all. Is that correct behaviour?
I thought I had gotten always an octane project and obj file in the past with the same path and filename as my c4d project.

Cheers,
Rogurt
