If I go to Octane 1.11 on my desktop and run from a terminal octane no-opengl

I get the same error message but I can't click it to close and quit it freezes the process and I have to force quit

File error

no-opengl
The command line would be

Code: Select all

octane --no-opengl
Notice the two dashes they are important. If you do that you wouldn't get the error message.

This command line parameter disables OpenGL for the viewport and enables a fallback solution using standard windows drawing. You can set this option in the preferences, but if you can't reach it, because the UI is stuffed you can use the command line argument to get around the OpenGL issues. To make it persistent, just open the preferences and click on OK.

So it seems that your driver/hardware setup is causing the issues. Which hardware are you using?
