I like to build PC with this specs is it enough to have power in render with octane ?
-Giga byte GA-Z77x D3H for mobo
-core i7 2600 3,4 GHz for processor
-Gforce gtx 680 4Gb 1x - cos i cant affort yet to buy 2
-Ram corsair 16 Gb
the rest just power supply and ect not importent in the list i think
from my point, If You're tight on the budget get 670
better value, has the same 4GB of vRam &
I doubt You'd notice any speed difference.
with Octane there is process of voxelisations, that is hungry for ram..
to top Your chosen card You might need 16gb..so
if You doing something in a background 32gb in system is a good idea.
as for CPU/APU - get a k version and overclock a bit =)
overall looks a good deal for me. but maybe others have some ideas too.
thanks for your info glimpse...i wonder is it best to use 2 vga cards on different type ? or just one with nvida titan i suppose.
i,m still looking better deal for to get maximum with octane and my budget,i hope so
is there any option to have any better deal ?
thanks
and by the way is there any different with vga asus gtx 670 with digital allience gtx670 and with nvdia ?? wich one the most use and a good price and maximum power to have
Titan is a very good deal - it performs better than two 680, pluss have more vRam & ocupies only one expansion slot..- price wise, in my oppinion, it's the best deal if You can afford it.
if You could strech a bit with budget having something lie 3570k OC (~200$), z77 mobo (~150$), CPU cooler (~70$), 32gb of RAM (~250$) Titan (~1k$), SSD /depending on Your needs/ 256gb (~150$), case (~50$) & power suply, depending on Your future upgrade plans.. - You mihgt already have the HDD or SSD, maybe even PSU from older rig.. so from 1,5to2k$ You can build a monster pretty much that gives You maximum scene sizes, good texture count & resonable speed. Pluss You can do that in smaller form factor - mATX / mITX based on Intel is limited to 16gb -as far as I know only am systems have 32gb of ram for mITX =)
p.s. if You don't use crazy resolutions, my advoce Woul be runin' screen from APU =)
Hi, there is also a announcement for a "Render Priority" feature to reduce the workload of a Cuda card.
May 10% for display and 90% for Octane on one card, so no need for a second card for display.
With Titan you need less cooling and a smaller power supply than for two GTX 670 and much more power for Octane.
