All available pass can be writable. I'll add multi-pass file output setting to Render settings dialog for saving during animation rendering.
Also compositing posibilites. No exact time, but after materialpicker, livedb/import/export features.

Yes, I'm interested in passes such as AO, zdepth, reflection, diffuse etc so I can do the comping.

I am wondering why the difference in the renders between C4d render window and the Octane render window in the picture attached. For instance the glass material in the project is not properly rendered. Are you still working on Octane Render using the C4d materials? Is this going to properly render materials in the final version or am I missing something in the settings? I did not play around with Octanes settings I just did a direct comparison.

You have used banji shader. it's ignored. Also standart materials don't exactly meet Octane materials. Materials emulations is working nice only basic setups. So best way is the converting and tweaking with Octane materials. So there is not a direct conversion of C4d materials? I thought I had read somewhere that OctaneRender for Cinema 4D was going to convert materials? We need to create our materials from octane? There is such a huge library of C4d materials and such a tiny library of Octane materials I hope there is going to be a converter built in to this at some point.

There actually is one. It's not very accurate but it exists (Plugins/C4dOctane/Convert materials).
The best way though is to start by creating octane shaders (of course, inside c4d; not in octane)

How do you create octane shaders inside c4d?

From Materials window: Create->Shader->C4dOctane
