with regards to the issue of windows flickering behind the render, we haven't found a solution for it yet,
just move the window a bit to the right to use it. it's on our list for 2.2

Ok, I thought since when I changed the float it only scaled the map in one direction, that a float2 would allow me to change it in both or at least independly. Anyhow, yeap, if I go back to my modeling soft and adjust there the scale there is no problem, of course, but I'm a lazy bastard... hehehe
By the way, any chance of doing only a selective update of meshes? (lazy, remember
) and how about some option to hide a mesh on the fly?
Hehehe, as you can see I don't waste any chance to ask for stuff... (that's ok you can always say no and I would still love octane)

Hi all,
I've made a new tarball for linux which should solve the problem.
I replaced the link in the first post in this thread with the new version.
Linux users should redownload it and try this new one.

@ mnemonicmethod :
can you show the spec of your Mac (=> easier to help you) ?
you need to install last X11... from XQuartz.
Last version 2.5.0 (2010.03.29) here:
http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/X112.5.0
cause X11 from old Apple CD (as Leopard 10.5 CD) is obsolete
(and XCode too by the way...).

At this point, we don't know why there's a relationship with anything X-based because there's no real reason for this dependency. We'll crack it tho, don't worry

Weekend nothing, I have not seen the light of day or slept but a few hours since I purchased my license a week ago!kubo wrote:It'll be your fault if this weekend I don't see the light of day, you've been warned!!!!![]()
Thanks a lot, downloading and testing!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
I don't know if anyone else has reported this but in the turntable animation settings menu, mouse over text tip of "Direction" shows "Frames per second" same as FPS.

Awesome release! Very stable on my setup.
I've noticed one small bug (win x64 version at least):
On "filmindex" parameter for both specular and glossy materials, the slider displays incorrectly. The value will adjust to wherever I click or drag on the bar, but the slider triangle is always something like 1.3429 behind. I got that number by dragging with my mouse till the triangle started sliding. It stays that far behind no matter where you slide or click. Very minor.
Again, great work!
EDIT: FYI, it only has this problem when using "float"
