something that would help Octane a lot would be a good material library as well
so you do not have to start from scratch each time.
I just finished a project in Keyshot and noticed that it was nice to have pre made materials
you only need to fine tune.
Any thoughts? Would that be possible with Octane?

If Octane had the ability to export material settings, the Octane team would not have to be responsible for this. The user community could develop a huge library rather quickly...

don't worry about it, we are working on a very nice system.thwak wrote:If Octane had the ability to export material settings, the Octane team would not have to be responsible for this. The user community could develop a huge library rather quickly...
we just need some time to develop it.

this is only a guess here, but are you creating something that is a bit more than a material library?
like something in which users can share node groups/macros...
So a node group could be a material, or it could be an environment, or a camera setup...
