Hi,
the pictures are in wrong order.
Tex_1.jpg was the starting with adding a plane.
The top picture Tex_4.jpg shows when the ground texture dissappears.
o.k. the light tag was false here - but same result with the daylight tag.
The ground texture is gone!
Also, when I quit C4D I get 4 errors
crash_1 to crash_4
Do you have an idear, whats happening?
thanks
Mike

this is happening since I got the plugin the first day of release.
And now also with Version 0.3.4.
I got a GTX 580 with Win 7 64 and 28 Gig Ram.
Today I updated the NVidia Driver to newest Version, but same problem.
When opening the test-scenes, everything seems to work at first look.
When starting from scratch, after applying the second or third imagetexture
to the scene, they begin disappearing.
Tomorrow I'll try again with removing all other plugins.
Maybe another plugin is causing that problem.
so long!

It has to do with having no "oct.dat" file in your "c4dOctane" plugin folder. Create an empty text file "untitled.txt" and rename it to "oct.dat" and place it in that folder. It should be able to activate after that file is in place.IMPICHMENT wrote:aoktar wrote:Install, fill in the registration fieldsIMPICHMENT wrote:Beta 0.3.4![]()
did you restart? Account system tweaked
Edit: Are you sure that's last version. Beta 0.3.4 menus and icons has new stuff.

hi all, thanks for this healthy interaction.
We'd like to commend all our developers for doing a great job. As the public beta phase continues, there will be succeeding releases of the integrated plugins.
Your feedback are well noted. Comments about this initial release are welcome here and we'd like to inform everyone that a sub-forum to continue the public beta phase of the integrated c4d plugin is located under the Plugin Discussion/Support forum, check this link:

For those who are looking for the help files, initially aoktar had this prepared http://www.aoktar.com/software/c4dOctane/c4doctane.pdf prior to the official documentation.
Here are also some sample scenes: http://www.aoktar.com/software/c4dOctan ... scenes.rar
The online manual for this plugin is also a work in progress:

Hi indexofrefraction,
yes, of course, I always click on the "refresh"
when changing geometry or anything else which does not auto-refresh.
Trying now without all other plugins and see if I can
exclude one possible reason.
But I'm wondering, thats only me having this special problem.
regards
Mike
