I made a little Clip to demonstrate the difference between handcrafted and machine made Jewelry, because my customers very often ask me this question!

I made the whole Clip in Octane with Pathtracing in diffuse mode and the 1700 frames took 3 1/2 day to render on my machine!

I hope you like the Clip and if you have some critics please tell me :-) I allways love feedback.

Regards Chris!

to be honest, I am not sure what the video is trying to say. Is it just that hand crafted rings are stronger?

It seems very vague, unless I am missing something.

@rigante: thank you :-)

@kavorka: Lamp try´s to crash jewelry, like the "I" in the pixar sequel - jewelry wins and crashes the lamp. It is also a little hommage to pixar and the great work they do, what i fully respect. I love their work very much! At least cause of Pixar i started to get interrested in rendering. It´s trying so say, like in the text written, that handmade jewelry is very stable and hard and does not break as easy as machine made/industrial made/mass made jewelry.

And.....it was a fun way to learn a little more complex rigging in 3ds max too :-) I allways try to combine work and experiments with some results in the end.
Thanks for your feedback! I will try to make it clearer in my next clips! Thought it is clear enough!

Regards Chris!

@Beppe: Thank you very much!

@Roubal: Thank you too :-) . All sounds were taken from freesound.org. I took an ordinary babylaugh and doubled the speed :-)!
