Hi all,

Many people are anxiously awaiting the 2.1 update,
and we have hit a serious issue with finishing the multi-gpu support.

Our multi-gpu architectural approach seems not to have been the best one, the cuda documentation about these features is very sparse and ambiguous,
and as a result we will have to make some major changes to our multi-gpu device management code, which may well take us a few more days of work.\

Since a lot of bugs have been fixed, and many new features are added that a lot of users axiously await, we have decided to roll back the multi-gpu support,
and release the 2.1 update later today.
We will then continue work on the multi-gpu support and release another update when it's finished, this gives me and marc some time to relax during the weekend as we're exhausted,
and working on complex things when you're exhausted does'nt give good results.

So, expect the 2.1 RC later today.

thanks for keeping us update. This is great news, and I'm hoping for 2.1 to be my savior, the random bugs is killing me.

i really don't understand, octane since beta2 has been rock-solid.
you either have driver related issues, or your doing things in a strange way. (only a few nodegraph stability issues remain, but you don't have to use those yet)

I know a handfull of people that can install apps on a fresh box and keep crashing them over and over because their workflow ( prsumably ) is screwed up. ( and for unknown reasons doesnt change the workflow to divert the problems )
I have been thinking about this issue alot over the time. It might be a lightener for me to actually see how they handle application workflows. then perhaps I can see if they are doing stuff consequently wrong or if the gods of crash just happens to be angry at them.
