It started off as a simple project a long time ago for fun that included everything from modeling to rigging......

Months later, i decided to revisit this yellow jacket and give her a home. And it sucked.... But two weeks (100 tries) later, a lot persistence, and new ideas from some great friends over at CGSociety on how to enhance the look and feel has finally paid off in one of the most photo-realistic renders I could create.

Created in 3ds max, rendered in Octane Render for 3ds Max. Render time 3.5 Hours at 1600x1280 at Direct Light (Diffuse 4bit) at 20,000 samples.

Great render - but I hate wasps too, they don't make honey....and I'm allergic to them....
