its your lack of shadows that's making it flat and lacking contrast and depth.

you've removed the wall in front of the camera to see in - but in doing so you've flooded the place with light from a low angle which is killing your shadows produced from the ceiling lights.

I've asked the octane team for a long time now to have the feature 'primary visibility' on/off..... which is exactly what you need in this case.

you need to set the out side lighting power to a very dark grey so your indoor scene uses the ceiling lights more, a dark grey will 'act' as the light bouncing off your 'invisible' wall without killing the shadows you will have under the tables and chairs.

try using AO is very simple and realistic, i been used pt or pmc, believe more flat, without reflects, so asking and reciving help the AO is the best way to get fast and realistic images, i have gtx690 too and the time is amazing, no more 4 minutes in high resolution, if you want more send me a pm
