Well, here´s my problem. The shadow cather material doesn´t do nothing. At first, this is the scene I´m working on:

And I want the floor to be a shadow catcher, so I can composite the bus later, then I click on "matte" for its material:

And it just disappears, it doesn´t show any shadow, the settings are the following:

I´ve checked every combination in the kernel, turning on and off environment, alphas, etc... but it does always the same... disappears. What am I doing wrong?

Are you using an HDR image for the environment? If yes, you have to enable importance sampling otherwise it doesn't work.

Try reloading your hdri. I noticed the shadow catcher disappear in 1.10 (even though all settings were correct) and cured it by reloading the scene, but simply reloading the hdri works too.

You are right, reloading the hdri, as well as closing/reopening Octane fixes the problem. Seems like there is a bug where you need to reload some parts of the scene, or the whole scene to make things work. It also happens for missing textures when reloading the texture makes it work.

Anyways, thanks for the tips. Problem solved. Please Octane Team, take note of this weird thing, maybe you already noticed it.
