Hello
Here's just a small modification of the script that let you select a renderTarget (from ocs file) when it comes to render an animation.
Just load the ocs file, the renderTarget menu will be updated and then select another renderTarget than the "Mesh Preview RenderTarget", and octane will be launched with the renderTarget with the command.
From my point of view the script needs to be partially rewritten but without spending too much time on it because the plugin is already awesome.
I just saw that mainframefx has posted an addition to change the output format and I guess we're not the only ones who did some practical modifications to it.
Anyway it could be a good idea to create a repository for this script and some other tools related to octane and maya (standalone and plugin).

thank you for the commitment. So now instanced scenes can be animated with this script, isn't it? Thats cool.
Oops I uploaded my modified version of the script (fast and ugly coded).
As there were issues with the scale, I simply disabled the rescaling thing...
I'm modeling with: 1unit = 1meter (and live with centimeters in the preferences).

I think you just have to change the octane's OBJ file unit settings to what is 1 unit in your scene (without taking care of the maya's preferences).
