Looks very good!

My only suggestion is to take pmc to 8 bounces instead of 5, 8 is what is considered by Octane team to be an excellent choice ( they said it some time ago ) since energy levels beyond 8 are miniscule but lower than 8 you are creating a darker image especially in corner areas and under the bed. the default 16 is obviously a bit overkill unless you have no lighting at all in your immediate vicinity.

cheers,
JF.

Thank you all again for all your kind words!!!

Tomglimse: thank you very much for tweeting my image.

Jmfowler: I'm quite new to Octane render and I have to confess that this is my first time using PMC, I always use PT at around 3-4 for exteriors and 5-6 for interiors. Why? I think because it gives a faster samp/sec. But with this interior, with the small bulbs in the lamps and the glass vases just under them, I decided to take pmc for a ride and discovered that after a slow begining It cleans very fast. I will try to render again with PMC at 8 and check if the extra time worth it. Thank you for the tip!

Julio,
That's exactly what I meant - very good! As said, FOV always a challenge with these types of shots, but this is a good angle. Just a pity the detail in the shelving is lost but I guess that is somewhat inevitable. I love the detail like the cords to the lamps, the power points and of course the duvet and pillows. The lack of detail on the wall to the right does not matter because one's eye is drawn to contrast - or so my art teacher taught me in school - which is my own theory as to why detail is so critical to achieve realistic results.

Marvelous Designer seems like the go-to tool for fabrics. Will have to try it out.

Keep going Julio, your work is, like my 4 year old girl would say, 'stupid good'.

Great renders!
I think the striped bed cover is too "velvety" too much falloff texture effect.

Best regards
