Hi all,

With the recent developments regarding animation and the fact that there are some people on this forum with a lot of experience and tools in this area,
i'd like to propose maybe some of them can work together and make a small 1 minute or so short film ?

Maybe a character animation or something alla pixar's 'birds' ?

I had been thinking earlier of making use of the BBB files being released under CC to try rendering a scene or so in octane.

the problem with those is the grass and hair.
without a hair primitive we won't be able to render those scenes...

maybe the older film with emo and proog ?

You can use 3dsmax and hair-farm and do render passes with fur/hair that way. Realy cool to have been part of that team and see it grow.
I can render a hybrid with octane and hair, no problem.
The further the intergrity Octane gets up against host apps, I and others will start to do more and more hybrid shots.

I like the idea of a community spot, however it will require a good stack of dicipline from the spot crew.

A bit off topic, but where are these BBB files found?

Cheers

no hybrids please :) Only Octane thats the challenge. But with [gk] hairs we could save some memory for octane renders .......
