it is multicore voxelization?
No, it's a complete rewrite of the parser that reads in OBJ files. It's now parsing faster than you can read from a hard disk, which means multi-threading won't help much since I/O is the bottleneck. Btw, this was introduced in version 1.01.

Voxelization is what is done, after Octane has read a mesh.

Marcus

Well then after that there's SSD.... ;) ~275mb/s for SATA2 and ~550 mb/s for SATA3 effectively.

I've upgraded both my workstations to SSD recently so if it could be reworked for muti core it would be nice :)
Actually even only 2 threads would be acceptible.

Yeah yeah, one step after another ;) Please wait until 1.11, which will improve a few more things in that area. Just wait and see.

Marcus

Will the new 1.1 PMC kernel ever work on older GPUs (compute model < 2.0)?
Thanks.
