I have been playing with instancing and having a lot of fun. Trying to learn Blender better too. I'm thinking of adding in some more rocks around the monument. I also wanted to add some other plant life like ivy but I'm having problems with the ivy generator plugin for Blender. Thanks,

Jason

Thanks Steve,

Still experimenting, this time I tried out some HDRI lighting. Made some changes to the grass and monument textures so they blended better with the HDRI. Lots of fun.

Here is the final render and now I'm going to work on some other ideas I have. :) Not real happy with this one anyway. I'm finding it real hard to control the blue light like I want it. My poor GTX460 was working hard on the render too, only 590,000 samples per second. Must be because the grass has a glossy texture and all totaled there are about 50,000 instances of grass and straw.

I couldn't help myself I had to play with it some more. :) I'm liking it better now, added some bloom and glare. Also played around with the camera settings, too much fun.
