Its actually a cell lining that is being changed from one type top another ... to a stomach cell from a muscle cell.
As an adult cell by one gene change without destroying the original cell. Not a stem cell change.

really nice image. Compositing works very well, guess it´s not your first.
In the first image the eyes directly moved to the red man. On the second image you placed the eye-catcher in front to the green, the cold color in front helps good. There is also more depth in the image. So the second image, but if it is more important for the topic to concentrate on the red man, or his job there, take the first picture.
