Hi, so just to say that we have just completed a standard commercial video, and a few things that Octane doesn't have, could have saved us tons of time and rendering.

so a few things we would like to see in future release that could be a life/time saver :)

- Ability to load image sequences in known formats as jpg, tga, tif, png etc.
- Render hidden geometry, for example when I need to render out just a shadow of an object on the floor, without the object on the scene (hidden)
- Alpha value, to set which object has visible or invisible alpha, and if there are refractive objects, that theyr alpha is half visible
- And I had a situation with a refractive object, and I had a octane light in the back, which was visible in render as object, I wanted to remove it from render visibility, but keep it in object refractions, it was impossible, but this could refer to the second thing I wrote about hidden geometry

to see this implemented into octane would make us mega happy here :)

To render hidden geometry you have to set to display as box for the object you want. For rendering just shadows you need to set matte option on diffuse material that is applied to surface and do to not have the object that is casting shadows to be seen in render, then the only option you can use for now is to turn off alphashadows and set opacity for that object to 0.

Hope it helps :)

Ok, I tried, but I didn't achieve the effect I wanted, so I want to hide one object from render and just keep shadow that object is casting on another object in render

I checked option display as box on object I want to hide to , and on that object's material I checked matte and object disappears in render and there is no shadow on the floor :( so I guess no way to keep it on the floor?

"Visible to camera on/off" is not supported at the moment.
But as far as i know it's not impossible to implement and it may come in the future.
It's not a high priority though.
