Hello everyone,
It's difficult to bring my render server with me on the road. I'm looking for a good solution to bring one or two nvidia cards with me that I can plug into the expresscard slot of my laptop. E.g. I have a 590GTX that could be connected.
Could someone advise a proven solution for such a setup?
Thanks!
Who can advise an external nvidia card holder for my laptop?

Hi, I found this > http://www.exsys.ch/index.php?main_page ... anguage=en
But it is only PCIe 1 and with 220 Watt power supply, enough for one GeForce GTX 680.
ExpressCard can´t transfer more than 250 MB/s and this is ~PCIe 1 performance, you have longer loading time but don´t affect render time.
Cheers, mib.

..You'll need very little space as mit standart is 17x17cm, it has only one PCIe, so power supply could be SFX (smaller then regular atx). 670/680 is a good deal for power consumption/computation, pluss limited ram (16gb) of mitx motherboards would not allow to utilise anything bigger (like tesl cards 4+ gb o vRAM)..
just a thought for You =)

it's the same pc, just in a different form factor..- I was very tempted of idea to get mITX (p8z77i from asus to be exact) but the ceiling of 16gb RAM was bit too low for my needs, thus I'm stepping to asus p8z77m pro in mATX layout - 4dims will allow getting 32gb of Ram & at least 2 cards..- technically these mobos are almost the same..
