Hi Guys,

Is there a way to animate the luminance / intensity of mesh lights in Octane (or preset this in C4D)?
We're building a scene with light bulbs slowly turning on/off and a strobe light, but can't figure out how to make it work.

Any ideas? Any help is appreciated! ;)

hi,
for on/off you could create two materials and animate the material assignment, just assign the same materials to a couple of polys hidden under the ground, in this eay the two materials are always present in the scene.
for the animation of the intensity, the faster way is to create a gradient map from black to white and use it in a texture emitter, then you can animate the uv position of the texture in c4d ;)
ciao beppe
