i like the colors of the new sky system, but ambient occlusion its too dark, i think that is the botton of sky system, always is dark, Why not place an option to change that color or the tansparency of the ambient oclusion

alexx_orel wrote:Hi, Roeland! Its good to see version 1.02. But it seems to me that you didnt fix the bug with importing obj scene in octane standalone. Earlier it was easy to import my scene simply via obj. But today its seems to be impossyble to find my scene in octane viewport after import. Sorry for bad English, but i cant use Octane any more without your help. Thank you for your attention to users problems.
On import, some/all materials are set to 0 opacity. This is a bug as you said, but you can work around it by setting the material opacity values back to 1 (or their original value)

Crap!

V2.58e Runs on my Desktop & my laptop, However 1.02 tells me that my graphics card is no longer supported (for my laptop), kinda kills the option of keeping both machines up to date and defeats the point of me buying a 2nd license for my laptop!

Unless something is done about this then my laptop is doomed to stay at 2.58e forever :(

Thanks but I knew its a beta, just did not know/expect my card to not be supported (at this stage)..

I only have my laptop to hand right now and was looking forward to playing with bloom & glare/new features etc, still, I will be near my desktop soon and can play to my hearts content then :P

I need to `pop by` on a more regular basis as I am a little out of date with the forum/latest news :P

Thanks for the reply Elvis :D

Think I will hang about for a while and catch up now I am here ;)

I am sorry if these question are asked in a not appropriate topic:

1. Do you plan (and if so - when) introduce displacement and rotation of image textures? I need it so much :)
2. Let's assume I have a geometry group with two or more placements connected to the same obj. They (instances) look exactly the same so I'd like to randomly displace/rotate the same texture on them. And now imagine I have a scatter node with thousands of rows (instances) and would love to randomize texture displacement/rotation on them? Will it be possible? Any plans into this direction?

MANY Thanks for this Roeland, Loving this build, playing with bloom @ Glare is great and I am instantly inspired to re-take up some of my old projects :)

Looking forward to my card being supported on my laptop also! But, so far, running a dream on my desktop ;)

Much gratitude for your hard work :D

Please fix the material opacity issue with importing OBJ's. Quite a pain to work around. THX
