Daz2Octane Exporter - Full-Use Available?

Hello All,

I realize this is one of my (if not my) first post to these boards, and I'd hate to come off as a computer user who does not consider google search, youtube search and forum searching his best friend, but thus far, I have been able to make heads or tails of two things:

a) Is the Full-Use Daz2Octane Exporter available for use? (It appears it is, that lots of hard work went into it with fantastic results.)

b) Where can I go to download it? I've tried to follow every link I could find to it but have not had any luck. I have however gotten the Demo Limited-Use Exporter downloaded and running and I am so looking forward to the full-use capabilities.

So thanks in advance guys/gals! Any help is much appreciated! I've been so satisfied with my purchase of Octane Render and can't wait to acquire these additional capabilities.

Well I'd hate to speak for the developer but I think it's still a beta. There are two threads about it in this forum and they both have been idle for a bit.

Only reason I'm saying anything is because of how slow the forum is in Daz world. May be a few days before you get a reply.

Welcome to the Octane club. The Daz2Octane exporter thread has been idle for very long and only the creator of that script will know what he plans.

That being said, there is a full fledged Daz Studio plugin in development which will hopefully be release this month. Of course it seems that anything Daz related does not work well with the word soon but soon is hopefully when we'll be having this.

Hi All,

Thanks very much for the quick response and the welcomes! Very happy to be aboard.

I have seen the official DAZ Plugin and honestly cannot wait to spend my money on it. With respect to the exporter, I suppose I'll continue using what I've got and hope for a sooner "soon".

Exporter update will be released thsi week. It's a dust off of the old version to allow it to work properly with DS4.5, not the new integrated one.

That's great news Tugpsx! It is clear that you've put a titanic amount of effort into this exporter and I am really looking forward to playing with the functionality that seems to be available in the Full-Use version.

That is a great preview image to get us all in the mood to test out new releases.

Hi again! Any news on this? Eagerly awaiting the release, as the demo version I am using doesn't bring camera over to Octane.

Hello. It's hard to tell ... thought we were expecting an updated exporter but haven't heard from tugpsx in a while and no answer to a PM I sent. We may be waiting for the Official DAZ Plugin.

Sorry guys. still around but been very busy RLS so its been slow. However not dead.
