Pseudo problems.
The interface is just fine.

Possibility to export to standalone would be nice though.

maybe it's just a case of offering up the MaxScript exporter, so we can hack it!
workstation well past its sell-by-date, Vista 64 bit (!) with a pitiful amount of RAM, re-invigorated with a GX 590

3ds Max Design 2011 (have 2013 but can't be bothered to re-do all the UI), CS5, and that free z-brush program, whatever it's called

My new thoughts:

- when you work with still shots, there is no problem. Just export obj to standalone and it is fine. Old Max2Octaner is good for this.
- When you work with animation, it is better to make it inside 3ds max.

But We need to recreate every material by hand in 3d max. There is still no option for importing .ocm files. << Solving this issue will give a perfect pipeline

Hello I've started that , so even Karba is already here, and I have something to add to the other's comments :
I use max for a Decade now !
I love 3ds max Octane plugin,I am using it for animation.
Octane is an innovative Product.
But maybe someone is right calling everything pseudo problems,
as Octane 1.0 was finnally released and now, will have to be improved.
And I am sorry, they can't skip this issue, pseudo or not !

If it was meant for me, then please read the whole topic.
Our fellow user mimbik stated, that he doesn't like Max UI and that Max interface sucks. That's why he doesn't like Max plugin and prefers Standalone.
I called it "pseudo problem" cause his opinion about Max UI has absolutely nothing to do with Octane plugin.

Sorry, my bad !
I missed that part.
I didn't realize the topic have'd developed in so different ways ,
it wasn't my original intent to comment anything about Max
or any other standalone app , but Octane itself.
