OctaneRender for Blender plugin product dev wanted
I would be buying it if its announced, even if it has zero functionality, so that I can work with the developer and help find bugs, ect. I would probably get 3 licenses, one for home and 2 for work.

I would love a Blender plugin as well.
It might be an early question but maybe someone can answer it as good as today possible:
When can we expect the plugin to be working?
How much will it cost? Just roughly: 10$, 100$ or 1000$ ?

He's talking about an actual plug-in similar to the Maya or Max plug-in not an export script which already exists and is free. People are wanting the type of interactivity that you get with the other plug-ins.kavorka wrote:RayTracey wrote:There are many devs interested in developing a Blender plugin for Octane. I am surprised that there is not developer Interested. Mabe there should be an add posting.
Ya, I would love some clarification on that, or are you just referencing the export script?

A dev has been found so does this mean that a plugin is going to be developed now? Legal issues cleared up? If so I will be buying the beta plugin right away.
PS: When the standalone updates to V2 and you have to buy to upgrade it will I have to pay to upgrade the plugin as well? I'm hoping not >.> Can't spend so much money on this all the time.

Great news!RayTracey wrote: There are many devs interested in developing a Blender plugin for Octane. We picked the best one already
I recently wanted to use octane for a archviz project. But because of a tight deadline i was forced to to use another rendering engine since it had a better connection to blender.
If this plugin turns out good then octane can be a great alternative to both vray and cycles for us blender users. Really looking forward to seeing it released

Is the plug-in already in development? Based on the fact that a developer has been found is it safe to assume so?
