Smooth Mesh Preview

I just installed the Maya plugin a few days ago and so far I would have to say that it's a really nice implementation. I have been very impressed with how stable the tools are for a Beta version.

However, the one thing I would really like is the ability to use the smooth mesh (3 key) with Octane. Converting the Smooth Mesh Preview to Polys isn't really an option since I am trying to use it on a rigged character and I don't want to slow down the rig. I was looking through the forums to find any info on the subject but didn't really get any clear answers as to if it can be done or not. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it.

Maya professionals decided it is not needed, moreover it may be the source of potential troubles in some cases...;)

I can see TBFX's point. No problem, I think I have a work around.
