Thought I would post something that doesn't seem to show up often around here... Another space ship. The idea behind the ship is that it's crew travels through space picking up junk along the way..
enjoy,
Steve
Now for something completely different

on the second image, you might not want to use the "sun" It is adding a lot of blue to your image, but because it is ouside the atmosphere, it wouldnt have any blue, mostly yellow light.
Use a blackbody emiter on a plane and you can get a better image.
Space ships are cool though

Intel quad core i5 @ 4.0 ghz | 8 gigs of Ram | Geforce GTX 470 - 1.25 gigs of Ram
Thanks for the input, I actually produced them all using sun, but adjusted color in post. I am still trying to get a handle on the emitters though, they come out VERY grainykavorka wrote:on the second image, you might not want to use the "sun" It is adding a lot of blue to your image, but because it is ouside the atmosphere, it wouldnt have any blue, mostly yellow light.

if sharp shadows is not important for you you can render this scene with a Studio HDR (If you set HDR's gamma to 2.2 you can get good blurred shadows like in space.).Alternate to Studio HDR there are some space HDR images from DOSCH. If you want sharp shadows put a plane or sphere with emitter material.
