Hi there!
I am trying to test octane on my mbp, but after installing drivers + octane demo version i cant go ahead and render.
Opening octane + loading a model works, but clicking on the imported model / render doesnt show up anything. just some red lines.
I went through the forum and found some topics about this issue, but couldnt find a clear answer. I think my graphics card is kepler based, thats why it doesnt work?!
But there is also a version working for kepler based graphics?
If its the Kepler problem.. is it going to change in the future beta versions?
I just need to try octane if it works for me and my workflow....
Thanks for help!

OK. I got it running. I guess it was due to Parallels runnig beneath while trying to render, because of the GPU split into two systems.
But Rendering of the simplest scene possible, a cube a cylinder and a plane build in rihino without any materials set takes 7 minutes and shows no result...

Hi Kehrman,
Are you just seeing a black screen?
This may be because of the camera being inside an object or the scene is tiny, massive or something along those lines.
Perhaps open up one of the demo scenes (http://render.otoy.com/downloads/Octane ... oSuite.zip) until you get your head around how to navigate then you can try your scene again.
Also, try selecting your mesh in the graph editor, and clicking on the little spanner in the node inspector (right hand panel by default). At the bottom of the import settings there is a Scale setting, try changing this up or down by one and clicking ok, try different scales and see if this helps.
Ideally you would model in meters in your host app and leave this set to meters and everything will be fine but sometimes this is not the case.
Cheers
Chris.
