Hi all,

This is a little late, but I didn't see any one post results using a Quadro card, so I thought I'd add mine.

Quadro 6000. 6GB

2.51 Ms/s

As one would expect, not terribly fast compared to the most recent cards. However, the viewport performance in 3ds Max is like a dream. So, its a real tradeoff.

Considering the addition of even a moderate gaming card would dramatically improve performance, I'll have to pick something up soon.

Hi,
I am very excited letting my new build doing it's thing with OR. This is the result:
16.72 Ms/sec (4x580, OR 2.57, driver 285.62)
4.18 Ms/sec with just one GPU.
To my surprise with SLI enabled it's just a little difference: 16.53 Ms/sec

Wow, did you put 3 590`s and a 580 in one system?
Is this possible? Using multiple psu`s?

Greets!

Yes, I have mixed the 580 with the three 590s. It works fine. The 580 is connected with the screens so the system (Windows) consumes only VRAM from the 580 3GB. That leaves the 1,5 Gigs of the 590s untouched. If a scene is bigger then 1,5 Gig the 580 keeps rendering.
A 1500 Watts PSU (Enermax MAx Revo) does the job. No second PSU required.
