Hi

While I haven't been using Octane recently, I'm now starting to get back into it and the progress looks good. especially am looking forward to when the Lightwave plugin is released.

In a quick search of the forums I haven't found some information that would be helpful in choosing my next graphics card upgrade.

Will mixing a gtx 580 with kepler GPU's cause problems? I have a gtx 580 and would like to add a second graphics card.

Is it still not recommended or at least less then ideal to render on the same graphics card used for your display monitors?

Thanks

Hi,

Mix Whatever You want, just remember that the lowest amount of vRam on one of Your cards will be the maximum of you could use for render =)

In Your situation I would add gtx680 and hook up the monitor there =) why? 'Cos if You do otherwise You'll be left with a bit lower amount of vRam for Your render works..

Cheers
