Hi everyone,
I've installed:
Cuda driver 3.0 197.13
Cuda toolkit 3.0
OctaneRender_Demo_102_beta2 for x64 winxp

Octane crashes while trying import any file *.obj.

Computer: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9400@2,66 GHz
8.00 GB Ram
GF 9600 GT
Win XP SP2 64bit
Can someone help me please?

I don't believe that you need the toolkit.

Yes, I've tried with that. The result is the same. Octane has just shutted down.

Hi,

Try getting the latest drivers for your card from the main nvidia website downloads.

have you tried the registry tdrlevel setting here: http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... ?f=9&t=824

if that does'nt help, we're out of options.
either you're card is damaged or your OS installation is damaged...

How about trying to export with one single material? Like disabling mtl export, and try again. I had the same problem but it was my fault, i was using "non-power of 2" textures but now i resized them and it loads everything perfectly. I found out what was wrong by disabling the "load textures" in the obj import preferences dialog

Hi,
So i've tried use GTX 275 with 1796mb, reinstalled all programs... and octane crashes.
Then i'v install windows 7 ultimate with my old 9600 GT.... and octane crashes.
Trully I've no idea what to do. Maybe have to wait until final version will be finished.
Best Regards
