Hi
I´m planning to upgrade my currently 260 GFX Card.
Which is the Best/Fastest Card for Octane or Bunkspeed (Which uses the CUDA tech)? There are so many articles and everything is confusing me.
What about ?
GTX 690?
or
Tesla?
Quadro® K5000?
Is CUDA cores important? or doesnt it matter? (Tesla K20 costs a lot and dont have so many cores compared to GTX, Whats the different? Is it faster?
Please specify which card is the no1 and a second choice.
Thanks.
Best CUDA Card?

gtx series birngs more value for the money. A gtx 690 is nice.
Teslas and Quadros have double precission and stuff Octane doesn't uses.
But if you need a lot of VRAM (more then 4 GB) you can only get this with Teslas.
Quadros are nice for some 3D Apps but I would go with a GTX.

Hi Refracty
Thanks for the reply.
I have been in contact with different manufactures and they recommend GFX 690 or Quado K5000,
The Quadro K5000 is double the price compared to GFX 690, Is it double speed? Or why is so expensive...
I only need a REALLY FAST (nearmost the best) card, with around 4GB (I will not use bigger textures).
Thanks.. Hope you can help, I`m confused

this shows some speed tests, doesnt have your card, but if you can see how it stocks up to the GTX 220, you can guess how much faster these cards will be.
I believe the 690 is almost as fast as the 590.

There is another topic, somewhere, that lists users own speeds tested, can't find it though.
Edit:
Found it:

This is based on an older version though, so the speeds may no be accurate, but the 260 looks to be half as fast as the 460. If all this looks right, you may see up to an 8x speed increase.
