Guys I need your help. I have 2000 euro to spend on a PC. I would like to assemble it in order to exploit to the maximum octane.

Someone can 'tell me some configuration?

I'd like to use two GTX 680, but the processor and RAM no idea.
thanks

the processor with help with the voxelization process into Octane, but not your render speed, so don't splurge too much on the processor, unless you have very large scenes and this affects you.

RAM, go with 8 gigs or 16.
Try to get a motherboard with integrated video so you can use that as your display adapter and your 2 680s just for Octane.
Intel quad core i5 @ 4.0 ghz | 8 gigs of Ram | Geforce GTX 470 - 1.25 gigs of Ram

sli is not important for Octane, you should deaktivate it

I would get a motherboard with 4 PCI-e slots and fill it with two 580 3GB or 680s 4GB if you only want the '6 series'.
Then you have some slots left for the future and better air flow.
Don't waste to much money on the processor if you use it mostly for octane. If you will use it for other renderers then it is a different story. Better save the money for the electricity bill ;)
650 Watts PSU should be fine with the 680s.
12 Gig of Ram are sweet for this setup.
