I am trying to activate Octane on a rebuilt system. I deactivated all (but one license that is currently running a job on another machine) and entered one of the free license User ID and passwords into the appropriate spots after waiting over 4 hours for them to clear.
It accepted activation and said activated in green.

I loaded an OCS file and it loads the file then says No Octane account is currently activated on this machine, or the account has been deactivated due to possible abuse. Please activate an available Octane live account, or contact the OctaneRender support ([email protected])

I tried deactivating it from within the prefs file... same error.

Same issue whether it is RC1 RC 2 RC3
I can't go back any further than that as the OCS file is RC1

There is one thing I can think of that might be causing this.... because I had to rebuild my @*#$@%@^ PC I hooked up another PC and ran Octane render on that using a legitimate lic. Then I unplugged the ethernet and let it render out.
Then got the rebuilt PC up and going and tried using a diff lic on that (while the unplugged one was still cranking) Does Octane know when a connection is lost ... yes... but how would that stop something else from launching?

Especially if it is a legit license.

PLEASE HELP EMERGENCY JOB older PC has ONE card... painfully slow : > ))

Thanks

Sounds like the same problem as http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=24909
I don't know what the problem is but I'm investigating...

Cheers,
Marcus

Went to roaming data and deleted it all and restarted... don't know why I do not do that in the first place : < ))

And that helped? Still sounds like a bug to me. Thanks for the feedback :)
