Yeah all same card manufacture
The other box has the same cards and same rough temps etc and does not crash out.
Older tyan card though. Will have to see if that is the difference.

have you changed the clock speed ever... and does it alter performance much?
yes - if you see my above threads, I had to take my 580 from 772mhz to 760 which has made it stable, how much performance have i lost? - I haven't had time to work it out exactly but its not too bad - my 580 is probably now at the same speed as the 680's hehe....

what brand cards you using? what performance monitor are you using?

my 680's 4gb are all evga and my 580 3gb is a gigabyte, all stock speeds. I use Gigabytes easy boost ( which gives accurate percentage use of all the cards) and evga's precision X as my main monitor.

A request (or question if this already exist) is to have the ability to change the background color (alpha space)

typically i would set the environment under the camera settings to white since most of my images are going on a white background. can this be implemented, or is there a way to do this with the plugin?

Octane is physical-correct render. And in the real-world the color which surrounds you - is the property of environment, not the camera... So, if you want to change the environment color, you should change it in Octane SunSky node as environment properties...
