The hand looks too translucent. It's only visible like this when a strong light is going on the hand.
But I like the face screenshot btw :D nice :)
i agree about the translucent effect, it was from an early test to make sure sss was working. i find most of the time it's the hair, clothing or animation that is the "reality" dealbreaker so i think there is some flexibility with the skin textures.
i will go into more detail and post some other samples in a separate thread.

cheers

And normally there are bones inside that are not translucent
so the translucent effect would only be at the sides..

The full figure is pretty darn cool! I don't see many Poser-type meshes that look very good. Your texturing is excellent and the facial expression is what clinches the complete reality, I think.

Perhaps Icelaglace is correct in the legs, but I was more affected by a VERY slight rubberiness in the girl's left arm.

Thanks treddie, I was really impressed with Octane's SSS ability. So much depends on good modeling, textures, pose, and then SSS. ;)

Yah, SSS is nervana!

I agree...Most of the poses are very stiff, and good texturing for something like this is absolutely essential. The human brain is so good at recognizing details for things we see every day.
