Hey folks,
here is a current status of my project "House with garden", rendered with the OctaneRender 3ds-Max Plugin.

What's your opinion?
What could I do better?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers :D

Looks really good!
A few comments:
Put in a background picture or something, it looks like the world 'ends' at the back.
Random the roof tiling a bit, I see repeating patterns.
Maybe change the sun direction, so the front is in the sunlight.
The fence materials is not realistic. It should look darker and more like metal.
Put in some interior stuff, maybe curtains and make the glass see through.

I like the vegetation. On the left it look very realistic.
I agree with renom_v.

You could add more vegetation in the background at the left of the bridge.
The curves in the fence need more polygons.
The tiles on the roof could be real geometry or at least put sum bump.
All textures need to be refine with bump, specularity....
Can you put some 3D grass and weed on the ground at the entrance so we don't see the sharp edges?
Put some dead leaves on the entrance.
Imagine reality

What did you use for vegetation? Forest Pack? or manual scattering? I agree for the roof, I do actually miss the displacement or stronger Bump a lot as I had to build some similar one and ended up modeling the entire roof heaving the model...Actually is there any techniques to random or vary the color of an applied material on a surface?

Nice scene. The vegetation looks very good, but the house looks a bit artificial imho. With the iron fence, the whole thing has somewhat a Tim Burton design style. ;)

thank you for all your helpful advices. I will work on it and post the next update soon :D

For the garden I use the Multiscatter tool.

Best wishes!
