Hi

Keep getting extreme firefly in mky scene from HDRI enviroment. Any ideas why, light is strong etc.

It is probably caused by strong sunlight from behind camera, let it cook longer and fireflies will start to disappear. Cechk this tutorial http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=878. And try to use set hotpixel_removal value between 0.4-0.75. 200samples/pixel is too few, you will need thousands before image is clear.

you could modify the hdri and remove or blur the "hotspot"

Thanks for the info, I am clamping the white in 3dsmax HDRI importer looks like its working ok.

i ran into the same problem;
then i used a Color Correction Texture, keeping the HDR as a sub-map
and the rendering lost it´s graininess completely, leading to a much faster result... try it!
