It will be called RLT - Radiance Light TransportChris wrote:What exactly do you mean by that?radiance wrote:btw,
the new MLT algorithm won't be MLT Radiance
It will be a Monte Carlo method offcourse? Perhaps a hybrid of both MLT and BPT perhaps ?
MLT working - 9000 series or higher only

Serously!? How is that possible? Lable it realtime
RTL (Radiance Light Transport) seems to be a good option for the name

yea, but understand that it does'nt do whole passes,Chris wrote:60 fpsSerously!? How is that possible? Lable it realtime

it only traces random pixels and does'nt cover the whole image,
so it's useless for navigating and editing the scene.
it's only good for rendering your final, while being able to use your PC normally without a non-responsive GUI on single GPU systems.

Since I only got 1 GPU currently, its gonna be really great to be able to workm on other things while rendering

héhé, As an FPrime (MLT based renderer) user, I have already prepared a scene to compare when beta 2 will be out.

Work Station : MB ASUS X299-Pro/SE - Intel i9 7980XE (2,6ghz 18 cores / 36 threads) - Ram 64GB - RTX4090 + RTX3090 - Win10
Net render : MB Asus Pro WS W790E-SAGE SE - XEON - 128GB - 2 x RTX 3090 - 3 x RTX 2080TI

Fprime is not unbiased
Its using some kind of progressive rendering on the CPU
Exactly like VrayRT
But its good to compare the two
Even if its not really accurate

Can we expect it for beta 2.1? what about speed? If it's useless for navigating the scene, it will be as effective as pathtracing?radiance wrote:yea, but understand that it does'nt do whole passes,Chris wrote:60 fpsSerously!? How is that possible? Lable it realtime

You'd better wrote the contrary because FPrime is out since more than Five years (Vray RT since two years?)Sam wrote:Fprime is not unbiased

Oh that really does not matter
It is a good start for comparison as you wrote.

I know FPrime was there way before other competitorsYou'd better wrote the contrary beacause FPrime is out since more than Five year (Vray RT since two years?)

I use FPrime with lightwave 9.4
An interior scene is good
As long as there's no light portals used or other cheats
