So I don't know if this is normal or not, but right now I have access to the Licensed Customer Forums (see attachement files) and I don't own an octane license.

I tried downloading plugin and lastest beta and it worked, so if you are opening those for the public it's great for people like me who can't buy the product, if this is a bug I urge you to fix it :!: .

Hi ArchMXM,

Yes we are aware of this. This may be tweaked in the coming days.
There is no way you should be able to use the software without purchasing a license/activation key.
By "works" i am assuming you mean the download links work? (which we were aware of)

We are in the process of changing forum rights to make more information publicly available. This may change a bit over the coming days as we refine what is visible and not.

Cheers
Chris.

Oh ok then, I haven't seen an annoucement about the change so I assumed it's a bug, better be safe ;)

Yes I meant the download link for the plugin+lastest build are accessible, the software still need the activation after download.

I must say having the Licensed forum open for a day was a good thing, as I finally got more info on 6xx series card performance.
You should really make info like that available, so people who are deciding on the hardware part before buying Octane can have a clear understanding what to get ;)
Hardware: i7-4770S, Evga Z87 Stinger, 16Gb ram, Geforce 970.
Software: Win10 Pro 64bit, 3dsmax, Octane standalone, Blender, Octane Blender edition.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the feedback.
Making more information available has been on our TODO list for some time.
We have a couple of things to sort out first but we still intend to make more discussion/info available to everyone.

Cheers
Chris.
