Hi, Guys!
I want to share with You my latest personal project I'm working now.
As a fan of Minimalism, B&W photography and Sculptral ArchDesign
I try to play here with simple forms, without colors..
Looking forward to detail this, but for now at least i have a base milestone =)

love this!
There were some great photographers in the 30's I think, Dell and Wainwright would be worth looking up..

workstation well past its sell-by-date, Vista 64 bit (!) with a pitiful amount of RAM, re-invigorated with a GX 590
3ds Max Design 2011 (have 2013 but can't be bothered to re-do all the UI), CS5, and that free z-brush program, whatever it's called

hi, sdwhitton,
could You post some more information about these artists
it seems that there are too many of Dell's and Wainwright's
as these are very popular names =)..
Some minor update from walkin' in the scene.
Have tried to add some things around, but that haven't work as expected,
so I'll stick with what it is now polishing these forms by adding subtle accents.

After a while I took this scene and looking forward to push a bit.
Here are few shots I'd like to share with You now.
Geometry still needs some work, pluss I'm looking to map the scene after..
For now simply going around looking for nice angles to capture.

hi glimpse, indeed we miss a railing. I bet you already have a way to make this safe without sacrificing all that aesthetic value. beautiful work in progress, looking forward to see the final

Well, that's a personal project for learning purposes, so I don't have to deal with them =p
anyway, these constructions I've seen online already: From second to first flor (images 1,2,3) and from first to ground flor (images 4,5,6) i just combined them and looking to showcase in one space =)
Thanks for droping a line here =) yeah, minimalism has it's own 'flaws' & sometimes it's not practical, but for some crazy people like me it's highly desirable. On the other side - You have hand rails to grip near the wall. This design probably would not fit in public spaces, nor in family (with small kids onboard) house, but as always there are those who look for it..abreukers wrote:hi glimpse, indeed we miss a railing. With this work i'm actually trying to mimic some of my older works done in Vray a while ago (this wip does not differ so much as it might seem - technicaly, just one modifier away..and it is called Bend =)..

hi, there =)
for a long time I haven't got any possibility to sit near my pc (& OctaneRender too), but as I got back I remembered my Sculptural Stairs project & try to play a bit with it, here's what I got for You now:

this is the second camera shot I've shown You before updated. Tried to add some directional texture (wooden planks) in order to give bit more of spacial feeling to the image.
To be honest..even if I do like wood very much..I'll probably get away from brown/yelow collor for this project (thought I will use light to paint some mood in this space =)
I'll probably use the texture in B&W anyway (as I like to keep colors to minimal) - here's simple experiment stepping that way
(nothing to fancy: just put saturation back to 1 and play a bit in PS with saved .exr) - love the mix of Blue/Yellow =)

I'll show some more & probably write a bit on my website about the whole process soon =) for now any c&c are welcome =) cheers..
