Hi just changed to a gtx 590 from 2 gtx 560 ti because of heating problems. I was I'll advised on my motherboard by my computer shop. The pcie's are too close therefore making one of the cards overheat in prolonged renders. My question is I want to add another video card like a cheap gt520 just for the monitor (i think the space between cards will be enough for cooling since the gt series is way thin than the gtx's) will I have some foreseeable problems with that setup? Another is can my 950w psu handle both cards?

Any recommendations from the experts? Basically I'm worried if my psu would be inadequate for the two cards. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

A GT520 has a very low power usage, I think 950 W should be enough for those two cards.

Ok sorry for bugging you again but I just saw tthat the difference between the new gt630 w discount is not much from the gt 520 96 cores as against 48 cores. Question is if ever what driver do you use. Will the driver of the 590 be compatible with the gt?

Btw, I use mostly sketchup and PS only. Will I expect significant slowdown whenever I navigate with the gt cards?

An NVIDIA GeForce driver will work with all recent NVIDIA GPU's. Don't know about SketchUp, for large models a bigger GPU is probably better.

Hi Roeland thanks for the help. Yeah I know but I don't want to invest more money on my old system because in order to solve my heating problem effectively is to change the motherboard or get one of those risers and change my case to a full tower. Just computing the money, I think it would just be wiser to build a new one. Probably will wait when Kepler is optimized by hopefully Cuba 5 and octane render utilizes it better than the current fermi or is the new octane build for Kepler fast or faster than fermi already?
