Is there any solution for double sided material?

i have a book animated with book rigger and i need set different materials for each page side.

Thanks
no support for double sided materials in Octane. You have to rig two attached meshes with different id.
i have found that multimaterial works. i use shell modifyer with different material id.
Thanks for advice!

Karba, Hello!:)

Would be cool to have region render option like in Vray VFB, so then i can tune material on specific object, and leave whole image rendered, no need to re render full image every time...what do you think about it?

I cant find the phase function for scattering medium.
How can I change the scattering direction?

I use the standalone in C4D and has more speed and quality rendering! the C4D version is outstanding..not the same for this 3DSmax version.. I'm not happy of this.. the No there isn't a plugin for 3DSmax 2013 for export to standalone?
If you want to compare speed of different versions you have to use the same scene - the same geometry, the same materials, the same environment, the same lights. All other tests are useless. Don't confuse other users.
Karba.. I use the same geometry in the two scene (C4D scene has more objects and plane reflection, 16 depht and has more speed render in standalone!) I use the same HDR map Environment (tarasik.hdr) in the two scene without others emitter.. I use the same materials.. from Live DB..same glossy.. Paper is a diffusion material.. the same! With Pathtracing.. In standalone version in 3 minutes to 8 depht.. I have more clean..free noise of 6! 6 minutes version in the 3DSmax Octane with less objects scene inside..and without plane reflections..
Have you got a test from standalone and plugin inside before say that I'm confusing the people?

If you want to compare the speed, you need to make sure you use the same object, the same camera settings, the same kernel and kernel settings and the same materials. The camera position can have a large impact on how fast a scene will render. And the materials in the first render seem brighter than in the second render. The same scene with darker materials will normally render faster than with brighter materials.

Emh.. the camera position don't influence the noise.. The materials are different brighter because in Standalone I have 16 depht.. in 3DSmax OCtane I have 8 depth.. If I use 4 depht I have more dark scene.. But is normal.. because the memory usage in Standalone is less that inside an application.. I wil post an other test without materials.. with a HDR Environment map... without emitters.. So..we can see.. I have always rendered with a GTX 480 with standalone.. but I think that an integrated render engine required a more powerful video card.. ;) Thanks

WTF Karba - you have to fix this bug >

MapScaler binding causes objects to hide - I posted this three versions ago - there should be a more organized way to enter bug problems

- I am just using a quick setup and the mapscaler was on, disabled it and then octane crashed 3dmax

edit > Mapscaler moves objects away from where originally placed - try it
