New drivers were released:

Anyone test them out, should we update?

I tested it for a while. Seems it works stable. Rendering speed increased by about 5%!

5% increase on the 580! sweet. That will give me 10% (hopefully) on my other machine. Now that I think about it, that just negates the loss from the new version of Octane. If I remember right, people were getting about a 10% less with the newer version.

Just Ran some tests.
I am using 2 gtx 580s and I upgraded from driver 301.42 to 306.23.

On 2.58e, there were no changes, but using 3.01, a scene that was rendering at 3.65 Ms/Sec went to 3.56 with the new drivers.

maybe just a fluke, but basically no change.

Seems to me the new driver is a bit slower than 301.42.

ya, Gabrielfx showed some renders in the Max plugin that showed the same results. Its not that big of a difference though. If you need the drivers for somethign else (maybe you play games), the slight loss in speed shouldn't bother you.
