Is it possible to pack the images I am using (textures, HDRI ect) into the .OCS file so that I can grab thatsingle file, move it to another computer with Octane render and render it?

Is there a way to make Octane look for the missing image in the folder you launched it from if it can't find the original path?
Is this a feature we may see in the future?

if you tell octane in the config to use relative paths, it'll ask only for the first missing image and will find all the others by itself - at least if the folder structure is the same...kavorka wrote:Is there a way to make Octane look for the missing image in the folder you launched it from if it can't find the original path?

Hmm, might work for me. I have folders set up on my work's network drive to store all my images and macros so I can reuse them. It would be a hassle to go through the folder to find those images (especially if there is 20 I need out of a hundred or so).
Hopefully this wont come up, but the relative paths in the settings helps out.
Either way, I think being able to embed everything into the .OCS would be very helpful. If you want to send/share a .OCS file with someone it would really help. This would be great for information sharing through the community. If someone new to Octane is having problems, they can just send that single file to someone for help. Currently, they would have to go track down every image, and they might not be very organized with where their files are located. Also, for people who want to make tutorials, ect, it's common to include the files.
Or, an easier, quick fix (won't solve every problem), would be to make it so if Octane cannot find a file, it continues to load, but replaces the missing image with a default float texture. Currently Octane fails to load if it can't find an image.
Thanks for the response.
