Hi Karba and Roeland
I found a bad bug in Octane
I designed a sandwich wall made of two glass panels thick 5mm each but distant about 3cm.

I divided the wall and I assingned different ids

I applied a multi-sub material. The first material has a glass clear mat, the second one is a mix between two glass and a mask

As you can see if I apply a glass mixed with another material (no matter if I put a mask) the refractions are completely wrong.

It seems that Octane treats the geometry like a single flat mesh and not solid only when the material assigned is a mix

Regards

thank you,

please check the glow effect issue of reflected emitters on mirrors and defocus reflections on mirrors with aperture set at 0.01 of distant objects.

Regards.
