Hello Octane Render Team,

Is it possible to make some objects hidden from scene reflections and refractions (like in maxwell)?

Regards

I don't really understand what's the intrest because this is not phisically accurate... the other way to do this is to make two renders one with and one without the object with masks and mix all in your favorite image processing software.

I think it would be very useful, myself. There are many times when I love how a composition looks. The lighting is great, everything is exactly where you want it, all the reflections are perfect except for that one annoying reflection. It may be too large to remove in post, and simply having Octane have the ability to make it go away would be a real time saver. This is kind of analogous to working in an actual studio where you set up real lights and objects and you have to go through hoops (real-life kludges) to get a reflection to go away or at least make it less obnoxious.

Hiding an objects primary visibilty would be much more useful - but all 3 would be great!

Yeah, camera visibility toggle - very useful with emitter lighting (removing emitting planes from view). This was debated and Roeland mentioned that it could be done.

Hidden from reflections/refractions is a huge plus. It's a crucial feature for complex production lighting, IMO, but hidden from camera is simply a must - it's used all the time, especially without a full set of render pass options.
