Hi. Im using octane. I have an exterior with a lot of houses and textures. After i made material conversion, i dont see anymore the materials ( no bitmap is missing becouse if i save the same scene but in pieces and i open those piece in other max instance and i render with octane, Voila ! Everything is working fine. The problem is when i have the all city togheter in 1 max file. Some materials are missing and also i cannot create a new material. I mean i can create it, but when i apply to the scene, i just see white. ( remember paths are ok )

IS THERE ANY MATERIAL LIMITS ? HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PLEASE ¡???

Thanks...

You are limited to 64 color and 32 grayscale images. You will need to combine multiple textures into the same image or use procedural textures.

Blame NVidia, it is a limitation of the CUDA API/Fermi archetucture. Once Octane supports Keplar then those limits will be doubled...

You can mix the UVs of several objects to solve this. This is a tedious process of course.
There is no material limit - it is a texture limit.

Use UV Packer plugins from 3d-plugins.com. Should solve that
